Media-Gateways

Release 7 offers a new media-gateway table that keeps track of all the gateways deployed in your network. Previous versions would only identify the media-gateway by number as in the alarm 009,MED-GTWY,n,MAJ

The media-gateway table allows alarms received by gateway number only to lookup the gateway name, type, serial number, IP Address and a notes field to identify the media-gateway. You can either let AlarmTraq automatically populate this table on a daily, weekly or monthly basis or you can manually enter the gateway name and number.

To automatically populate the table, either click the "Get Now" button in the gateways tab of the Site-Profiles form or include the "list media-gateways" command to run during the maintenance routine schedule. See below.

Once the gateways have been poulated for a site, the next time an alarm is issued the latest gateway information will be included in the email message sent to your support staff or NOC. See below.
