Server Tasks
New with version 6.1 Server Tasks are server independant tasks submitted to the
database to be performed by any of the available servers that are configured for the assigned task (see
Server Clustering).
A server task consists of two fields, TaskID and TaskData. The TaskID identifies
the type of task to be performed by the server. The TaskData identifies the site
or alarm used for the task.
Typical server tasks are:
TestINADS which performes an INADS link test.
RunConfigReports which runs a configuration report on the system.
TestingAfterAlarm which runs any commands specified in the
Maintenance Object database associated with an
alarm.
DialPager which dials a pager number over an available modem definied by
the site-profile or notification plan.
