X-Alerter functions using the Caller-ID (ANI) capabilities of AlarmTraq to respond to an incoming call placed to AlarmTraq when no connection is established or no alarm information is sent.

This allows you to see who is calling AlarmTraq and provides a very basic form of notification for systems that do not support modem based or SNMP alarming such as Octel systems.

AlarmTraq will try to match the incoming telephone number to the numbers stored in the database to find a matching Site-Profile, if a match is found you will be notified with an "UNKNOWN ALARM CALL" warning message and will follow the appropriate escalation schedule for that site..
