The Secure Alarming package is an add-on to AlarmTraq and provides secure alarming over HTTPS when used with any of our gateway products or custom HTTP requests.

With the AlarmTraq REST API you can manage and change AlarmTraq resources programmatically, using HTTP. The API gives you simple access to the functionality behind AlarmTraq data sources, projects, sites, flows, and more. You can use this access to create your own custom applications or to script interactions with AlarmTraq resources.

TLS connections are required in order to access the AlarmTraq API endpoints. Communicating over TLS preserves user privacy and security by protecting information between the agateway and the AlarmTraq API as it travels across the public Internet. Connections to the AlarmTraq API require TLS version 1.2 or higher.

TLS 1.2 is a robust and widely adopted cryptographic protocol designed to secure data transmissions over computer networks. By upgrading to TLS 1.2, we have significantly enhanced the security of our communication channels, providing an additional layer of protection against unauthorized access and data breaches.
